Last weekend, BandCentral was nominated alongside The Netherland’s very own SellaBand, and Sweden’s Spotify, for the Eurosonic 2010 Interactive Company award.
Sadly for us we were pipped to the post by a very deserving and jubilant SellaBand, who took the 2010 Interactive Company title and won a cool €5,000 cash.
We’d like to extend our hearty congratulations to SellaBand – an extremely innovative service that enables musical acts to organise serious fund-raising drives for major developments in their careers like tours or album production – and all round great guys.
Coming second in this coveted awards category is a very encouraging consolation prize we’re proud to own. BandCentral’s nomination for the Interactive Company Award came as fantastic news just short of our first birthday, and we fully intending to bring V2 back to EuroSonic for the awards in 2011!
