Hello band people,
Today BandCentral is very chuffed to be able to announce our inclusion in Chinwag’s upcoming Digital Mission to New York from 15th – 20th November 2009.
Chinwag, the networking/community organisation for the UK’s digital media world, inaugurated their “Digital Mission” to the United States in 2008, and BandCentral will be among the 20 new digital companies selected to go on the 2009 Digital Mission to New York City.
The idea is to flock together a collection of the UK’s best new digital companies, and then descend on New York City en masse for a week of digital media conferences, one-on-one mentorships, and master-classes. It’s all designed to help us to bring BandCentral to the musicians of the US.
Acceptance into this program is a great endorsement for BandCentral and its pioneering service in the new music industry. A big thank you to all of our users for all your support!

The news of our involvement in Chinwag’s Digital Mission comes amidst a busy few months for BandCentral:
. BandCentral is currently working towards a major upgrade to the entire application, adding many cool new features, and enhancing existing ones.
. From Friday 6th – Sunday 8th November, BandCentral will be present at the Music Live exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham. Self-described as ‘the UK’s biggest and best music making event’, Music Live will bring together every different components of the modern music industry, from musical instrument makers and record stores, to tertiary institutions and web applications.
. From 24th – 27th January 2010, BandCentral will be involved with the MIDEM world music festival/forum in Cannes, France. This will be an excellent opportunity for us to share BandCentral with a global audience.
. In March next year, we are pleased to announce our involvement in 2010’s SxSW Festival in Austin, Texas, USA. Arguably the biggest festival in the world, SxSW is renowned as a celebration of new popular music, and new music technologies. Stay tuned for further information of our involvement in the coming months.
